WATCH: The Super Simple Trick to Stretch Your Jeans After You've Shrunk Them in the Dryer
Game = changed.
There's nothing worse than realizing that that tumble in the dryer shrunk your favorite pair of jeans. The horror! But what if we told you there was an easy way to end your denim woes? Better yet, that all it requires is a bit of water and a good strong stretch?
According to Today, there's actually a super simple way to reverse "consolidation shrinkage," that pesky phenomenon that occurs when your jeans are exposed to heat. The only thing you need is a spray bottle.
Here's the deal. The next time your jeans come out of the dryer feeling snug, just spray the problem areas (often the waistband or calves) with some water and pull. Pull the fabric in every direction until you've created more give where you need it. After you're satisfied, lay them flat to air dry. And voila! Seriously, it's that easy. Just whatever you do, don't put them back in the dryer.
