Attention fall decorators! 'Tis the season for dressing up your porch with fruits of autumn, like pumpkins and corn. We love to incorporate all of the vibrant reds, yellows, oranges, and browns of fall into our homes in various unique ways. This Cornhusk Garland is a cheery way to elevate your mantel or doorway, and it's incredibly easy to assemble. Start by gathering some dried Indian corn in a few different colors. Keep those husks on – that's how you'll attach the corn. Use a piece of sisal rope as the base for your garland. If you'd like to take it a step further, dye your sisal rope in a dark brown or golden maize color. Wrap the sisal with a little rafia to give the garland some extra texture, and then wire bundles of corn securely onto the rope. Fill in all around the corn with dried grasses, broomcorn, or corn tassels for a beautiful, rustic touch. This home decor idea has a big impact on your fall decorating, but it won't take you more than an afternoon to put together.
