Designer of: A colorful line of hardwood floor tiles that pop with pattern

Her Story After more than a decade of running a decorative-painting business in New York City, artist Sally Bennett packed up her brushes and her family and moved back down South. "We bought a fixer-upper, and I wanted a beautiful painted floor," says Sally. "But I didn't have the time or desire to sprawl on the floor and paint it myself." On a mission to find an easier and less expensive way to create the high-end look, Sally combined old-fashioned craft with today's technology and printed hand-painted patterns onto engineered-wood tiles. A patented 10-coat resin urethane topcoat gives the tiles commercial-grade durability. "I loved my floor so much, I decided to share it with the world," says Sally. This month, she debuts her entire line of tiles that can be installed as full floors, borders, inlays in existing floors, and even kitchen backsplashes. Also look for her collection of coordinating stair treads and risers.
