Done in a Day: Salon Wall
Hanging Wall Art
Give a random collection of art pieces museum-worthy treatment. “A hodgepodge of materials and colors makes it look inventive and authentic, as if you had collected each piece over time,” Anne Turner says. She and her mom, designer Nancy Thornell, show you how in three easy steps.
Lay out all the pieces of your framed art on big sheets of kraft paper, and trace around them. Label each piece.
Cut out the shapes, and arrange them on the wall using strips of painter’s tape. Group small, similar pieces together to make a greater impact.
Once you have an arrangement you like, mark the spot on the kraft paper where the nail will go. Hammer in the nail, and then take down the paper. Hang your art.
