Tour the terrace and porches of the 2010 Georgia Idea House.
[MUSIC] You could also enter the Idea House from the sidewalk into a brick-paved courtyard with a potting shed and really lush plantings that are, wonderful for us here in Georgia that we can have such great color year-round. From there, you can walk up to an open-aired porch that has a seating area on one side and a nice dining space outside with a teak table and bench, and mixed seating. So it's a very casual porch but designed for entertaining and really spending time outside here, which is one of the best things about this part of our country. One of the great features of the exterior side porch are the shades designed by Sunbrella fabrics. They can be raised up and not be seen all the time, or they can be drawn down when sun needs to be controlled in some of our hotter times of the year. Underneath the second story porch is a terrace level that is Completely bricked brick floors and brick walls. And we have a bed swing out there designed with really plush pillows covered with Sunbrella fabrics. On a rainy day, it'd be a great place to relax and read a book. Or even on a really warm day, if you wanna come down there and get out of the heat, cuz it's a very cool space. But [INAUDIBLE] brightly lit and has great views of the garden area. All the exterior furnishings are upholstered in Sunbrella fabrics, and Sunbrella fabrics are great for year-round use. They do really well resisting fading and staining. Surprisingly enough, they have a lot of options to choose from that really make them much more fashionable today, and really tie in with a lot of the interior fabrics that you would use at home. The exterior side porch is also an extension of the interior living space, because there are three pairs of French doors that open to the side porch. So in addition to the living room seating area adjacent to that on the porch is an outside seating area. And then, in addition to the dining room area, there's an exterior dining space. So, if you need to you know, grab a chair and get some extra seating at the other end of the porch, or vice-versa, it's a really flexible design plan so that, depending on if it's a small group or a large group, it could accommodate I1.
