Because porches are the first places visible in the house, they should have a good scale and feel to them. A lot of areas on the porches act as great spaces for entertaining and setting up.
[MUSIC] As you approach the house, one of the first things that you will see is, how we've un-bundled the house, and pulled the guest houses forward. They frameD the main house. But the main house is still key at the background. You're drawn in to it. Porches are really key on the house. Its the first thing you see, the first thing you walk into. A lot of areas on the porches wer more than just flow. You have great spaces for entertaining and setting up. You can set up inside of the garage. And do your catering from there. Its important that the porches have a good scale and feel to them as well. We made the porches deep on this house. We also made them, where they connect all of the guest spaces. So that anyone staying at the house can walk covered under the porches and connectors to their guest accommodations. Everybody has their own space. Everyone has their own porch. You feel nestled when you walk up to the house, with the guest house in the garage, and the bunkies out front kinda holding you in. It's a great place where you feel like you're contained in a space.
