[MUSIC] The effect of the open floor plan is to virtually make the kitchen a part of the living space. And it helps so much that the kitchen is very elegantly treated with marble back splashes and cabinets that are a neutral color and so it really has an elegance all its own that is quite compatible with the rest of the house. The cabinet style from KraftMaid is very classic and traditional. The color's a little bit different, as are the colors of the appliances. They're new iridescent blue finish from Viking. Chef John Currence designed a chopping block that has an opening with a trash container underneath, so that when you chop your vegetables you can scrape off the discarded parts into the trash container. So it just makes it very easy to chop at the counter top and then turn directly to the range and cook [MUSIC] And Parrker used the local furniture maker Mark [UNKNOWN] to create the rustic farm table that serves as the dining table and she surrounded it with a collection of red chairs and the stairway rises from the side of the dining room and the space underneath is used as a butler's pantry. It's open and so it adds another dimension to the dining room, and there's a little wine cooler, as well as a refrigerator.
