With this year's Kentucky Derby looking a bit different amid the coronavirus pandemic, Churchill Downs is going above and beyond to make sure that spectators still get to experience the pageantry of the first Saturday in May—albeit at home… and in September.

This week, the storied racetrack announced the official menus of the 146th Kentucky Derby presented by Woodford Reserve. And, for the people watching from home, Churchill Downs' Executive Chef David Danielson also created an accompanying at-home Derby menu, featuring unique, easy-to-make versions of the dishes he prepares for the racetrack's dining rooms.

"Enjoying the Kentucky Derby at home is the perfect occasion for foodies everywhere to indulge in good food and drink, while bringing a taste of the racetrack's iconic cuisine into their homes," a press release proclaims.

This year's at-home menu includes the winning dish from the nationwide contest to find Churchill Downs' first-ever Official Menu Taste Tester: Edamame Succotash with Mint Vinaigrette. Other highlights include Turkey Meatballs with Peach Hot Sauce, Skewered Chicken Kabobs, Sweet Potato Hummus, and Henry Bain Steak Burger Sliders.

"The Kentucky Derby is a nationwide tradition that reaches far beyond the gates of Churchill Downs," Danielson said. "With more fans watching from home this year, I was inspired to curate a menu of easy-to-make, at-home dishes that are a true reflection of the classics Derby-goers crave, so anyone can partake in the culinary festivities of the day."

The 146th Kentucky Derby will take place on September 5, 2020. For more information, visit KentuckyDerby.com.
