Hi. I'm Christy Jordan. With Quick Fix Suppers you'll spend less time in the kitchen, and more time around the table. So lets get started. Hey Christy, I'm Christaline. My family loves to order out, asian noodle bowls. And I was wondering if you had a real quick recipe. to pay back a tract and make at home. Noodle bowls are all the rage now. Think of it as a new chicken noodle soup. You can use whatever meat and vegetables you have on hand to create a dish that you can really call your own. To begin with, we're gonna take about two cans of chicken broth and pour them into a stock pot. "And then I'm going to add the flavoring packet from a package of Asian style Teriyaki flavored noodles. Whisk that together and bring it to a boil. [NOISE] Now that our broth is boiling, I'm just going to go ahead and add in about a pound of cleaned and peeled shrimp. Stir those up in there and I'm going to let it continue to boil for about three minutes." You know, I'm using shrimp, but feel free to use any meat you prefer - chicken, pork, even beef would be great in this recipe. Whatever meat you decide on cooking it in this broth is going to give it tons more flavor. So now with my shrimp all cooked, I'm ready to add the next four ingredients. We've got about two cups of shredded napa cabbage, but you can substitute regular cabbage if you like. Remember whatever vegetables you have on hand just make this dish your own. Stir that in, and I am adding a little bit of szechuan sauce. This is gona really punch it up. Now we have got about a cup of fresh snow peas. I love these. I have a hard time cooking snow peas, because I usually eat them all raw before I get ready to cook. [LAUGH] These are my shredded carrots. I'm gonna stir all this up and let it cook for about two minutes. This is such an easy supper to throw together and you're going to love it. Okay, now I'm ready to add my noodles. Now I've gone ahead and cooked these according to the package directions, so as soon as I throw them in our dish is ready to go. I'm also going to add some fresh cilantro because fresh herbs just really add a kick of flavor to everything. and then I am going to stir in a little bit of chopped green onions. I love green onions. Give this a good stir and supper is ready. I am going to serve up my noodle bowl now. Get lots of that rich broth in there that was so easy to make. I love these short cut recipes. And to finish this off, I'm just gonna add a little squeeze of fresh lime juice. And supper is ready. I hope you get to try this recipe soon.
