Recipe: Fried Strawberry Pies
Spoon the strawberry mixture into the center of each dough circle.
Use your fingers to fold dough over.
Gently press edges to seal with the tines of a fork.
Make sure your oil has reached 350° before frying the pies. If it’s not hot enough, the pies will be too oily. Use a slotted spoon to remove golden-fried pies, and drain on paper towels.
Garnish with fresh strawberry slices and sprinkle with powdered sugar. We like to use a tea infuser to deliver the perfect white dusting.
