Starbucks Has An Unexpected But Delicious Holiday Drink This Year
Starbucks just rolled out one of its craziest speciality drinks yet.
The coffee giant on Thursday unveiled its new Fruitcake Frappuccino, just in time for the holidays. According to a news release, the caffeinated drink was inspired by the traditional holiday fruitcake, with its colorful candied fruits, nuts, spices and endless comedic material.
Starbucks' decidedly delicious version isn't anything to joke about, however. It's made with a Hazelnut Crème Frappuccino base amped up with cinnamon and a handful of dried fruit. The frozen, blended drink is finished with whipped cream and an ornate topping of caramel dots and a sprinkle of matcha. Drool. All it needs is a bow!
But unlike the one you've been regifting since last year, this fruitcake won't last forever. The unlikely seasonal creation is available in participating Starbucks stores only through this weekend.
And that's not all! On National Ugly Sweater Day, December 16, Starbucks Rewards members can receive a free ugly sweater beverage cozy with the purchase of a Fruitcake Frappuccino. It's only while supplies last, so don't dilly dally!
