This New Travel Mug Brews K-Cups on the Go

If you love your Keurig but never have time to wait for the coffee to brew, a new travel mug could revolutionize your mornings. It's called AnyCafé, and it's the first travel mug to brew coffee using single-serve pods.
Here's how it works: You pop open the lid, add some water (any temperature will do), then insert the coffee pod of your choice. Close the lid, press the start button, and you'll have a fresh, hot mug of coffee in just a few minutes. And it doesn't matter whether you're a Starbucks addict or a Dunkin' Donuts lover—the mug is compatible with both companies' pods, as well as all other brands of K-cups. Eventually, the company hopes to make it possible to use coffee grounds or loose tea leaves for a more environmentally-friendly brew, too.
"This is a first-of-its-kind travel accessory that gives those who are coffee-obsessed or constantly on the go a delicious, warm cup of coffee in just a few minutes," Logan Carlson, CEO of AnyCafé, said in a statement. "We made sure our design is easy to use and filled with top-notch technology that makes using AnyCafé easier to use than a Keurig."
The mug is BPA-free, can hold 9.5 ounces of liquid, and is battery-powered (the battery can be recharged in 4 hours at home or in the car using a 12-volt charger). In order for the product to become a reality, the company is hoping to raise $75,000 on Kickstarter by Tuesday, Dec. 13—but you can pre-order one for $49. Oh, and while you're browsing Kickstarter, consider backing this Keurig for cookies.
