If there's one thing we've learned about the Duchess of Cambridge throughout her pregnancies with Prince George and Princess Charlotte (and now with baby number 3!), it's that her sartorial taste never misses a beat, no matter the circumstances.

Earlier this week, the expectant mother proved yet again that standard maternity wear just isn't her thing when she stepped out in London for the opening of the School Leaders Forum. The conference was hosted by Place2Be, a children's mental health charity for which Kate serves as the Royal Patron.

The young mother, who addressed the crowd on the importance of providing children with emotional support early on, sported a simple, ladylike wool tunic from British designer Goat for the occasion. A high rolled neckline and military buttons down the shoulder add tailored polish to the boxy shift, while its pretty plum hue feels just right for fall (and festive enough to wear into the holiday season!). We love how she paired it with tights and pointy-toed black pumps for a more casual daytime look, but think that the dress could just as easily be dressed up for a winter cocktail party with glittery baubles, a pair of metallic heels, and a show-stopping clutch.

If you're willing to splurge for Duchess-worthy style, you can buy her exact dress, Goat's Eloise Tunic Dress, for a cool $640 here. (Naturally, as happens with many of Kate's wardrobe choices, the plum is currently out of stock, though it appears it will be restocked soon.) But if you're not willing to wait for the restock, or if burgundy isn't your color, her dress is also available in black, marigold, and navy wools, and even black velvet.

And if you're shopping on a budget like us, you can steal Kate's tailored look with one of the pretty claret-colored picks below … they're all under $80!
