Bye bye foundation is right!
When it feels like you’re walking into a wall of humidity the second you step outside, a full face of makeup doesn’t stand a chance. That’s why most Southerners lighten up their beauty routines during the summer, swapping heavier formulas for lighter-weight ones. As a Floridian, I can wholly agree with this sentiment — you want as little as possible on your face when the temperatures are unbearable. My complexion is on the dry side, so I always feel like I need a creamy, more hydrating base, which can sometimes turn into a melting mess if I hit up the pool or the beach.
Typically, during warm months I rely on a tinted moisturizer or an SPF-infused foundation. While I like a lot of the different products, I’ve never found one that I swear by. It was infused with just the right amount a color too to nix discoloration, making it perfect for those days where you want some coverage, but don’t want to look like you really took the time to put on makeup.

On top of it being a moisturizer-foundation hybrid, it’s formula protects against the sun with SPF 50. Basically, you’re getting three beauty products for the price of one, which is why this multi-tasker has become my go-to all summer long no matter whether I’m hitting up the gym, the beach, or an outdoor BBQ.
