Drunk Elephant

I love a good moisturizer. I enjoy serums, eye creams, an amazing lip balm, but finding a standout moisturizer is something for which I will truly go bananas. Why? Because dry skin is the worst and it plagues me year-round. Just one of the many joys of my combination skin. Drunk Elephant's Lala Whipped Cream is right up there with CeraVe Moisturizing Cream as far as my hydration heavy hitters are concerned. I will slather Lala on my face (CeraVe, everywhere else) with reckless abandon. That feeling once my skin starts soaking it all up is absolutely thirst-quenching. It's a joy to experience.

Now, I'm told that the Lala formula is getting even better thanks to the addition of ceramides. These itty-bitty plant-sourced wonders provide a protective barrier that guards against skin's water loss, while also balancing moisture. You'll still find the rest of the good stuff we loved about Lala before, including six African oils and soothing lipids—the combo that makes my skin sing.

The formula is without a few things too, notably, fragrance, silicone, and essential oils. Drunk Elephant takes what they keep out of their products just as seriously as what they put in. In turn, the line they deliver is amazingly non irritating, and actually tends to do exactly what it promises.

To make the most out of this moisturizer, let it work in tandem with your favorite serum. Take a pump of Lala and scoop it onto the back of your hand. Add a couple drops of your serum and combine with your fingertips—letting the mixture warm up just a tad before you apply.
