Sun-kissed skin is always in season.
Whenever summer is winding down, Southerners have a mix of emotions. While we’re sad to say goodbye to weekends at the beach, living in sandals, and having our kids home from school, we’re also excited to usher in a new season filled with cooler weather, the return of pumpkin spice everything and of course, college football. However, there’s always one thing we always wish we could bring with us from summer into fall: Our tans.
Lucky for us, Drunk Elephant has come to the rescue with their latest launch, the D-Bronzi Anti-Pollution Sunshine Serum. Very rarely do beauty products truly live up to their name, but this serum does. This little white, black and bronze tube is all you need to fake a radiant glow, and unlike other liquid bronzers, it’s packed with skin-loving ingredients. The serum is infused with antioxidants that help protect against UV damage and pollution. Plus, it has marula oil, black currant seed oils and vitamin F to nourish and improve your skin’s barrier function.

Even though I’ve always been a fan of Drunk Elephant’s products, I was a teeny bit hesitant to test D-Bronzi — mainly because I’m always hesitant to try skincare products with built-in bronzer (my complexion is the Snow White of fair skin). My fears amplified when I pumped out a drop onto my palm… It looked so dark! Luckily, that prompted me to actually read the directions (use this as a reminder to always read the directions y’all) and that’s when I saw that the serum was actually designed to be mixed in with my favorite moisturizer, serum or sunscreen. Whew.
After blending it in with my day cream, I applied D-Bronzi all over. Within seconds, my face went from ghostly to glowy, no fake orange-y tint in sight. Its natural bronze color evened out my complexion and covered up any imperfections, making me wonder if I even needed to put on foundation. Even after I put on the rest of my makeup, I couldn’t get over how much healthier my complexion looked. Needless to say, D-Bronzi is now my go-to solution to fake a beachy glow all year long, and I’d highly suggest it becomes yours too.
