Cetaphil

Meet your new skincare obsession.

We’re used to shelling out the big bucks for skin care, particularly when it relates to the eye area. It’s one of the first places to show signs of age and, quite frankly, the most noticeable too. Eye creams in tiny glass bottles that promise fountain of youth effects, but require a second mortgage? It’s de rigueur among the set looking to turn back time—or at least hit pause.

Maybe that was just the catalyst no-frills skincare brand Cetaphil needed to punch a ticket on the anti-aging train. In January, they released Hydrating Eye Gel-Cream, which has quickly become the darling of drugstore anti-aging aisles everywhere.

The gangbusters reception seems to be in part due to laying down just what it promises: brighter, smoother, and deeply hydrated under eyes; but it seems the real clincher is the fact that it delivers all that with a price tag that barely hits the $15 mark.

That’s right, the average price of this dermatologist-recommended eraser of sleepless nights (well, the evidence, at least) is between $14.99 to $16.99, though we found it even cheaper on Amazon Prime. Pair that with the fact that Cetaphil is the go-to for sensitive skin types and you have a hard working, low-cost, anti-aging wonder that promises no irritation. Are we dreaming?

We’re hoping this harkens a revival of properly priced skincare—or at least encourages more of our most beloved and price-conscious skincare brands to dive in with their own instant cult classics.
