CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream

If I had to whittle down my skincare routine to one product (SPF aside, obviously), it would be a night cream. Overnight my skin gets completely parched unless it's coated in a super hydrating cream. Forget the retinols, firming and resurfacing formulas—I need moisture by the bucket. Daytime moisturizers just don't cut it.

As a beauty editor, I get to try a lot great product—some of it not so great. When it's time to reset and get back to basics, there is one line that I know I can rely: CeraVe. I've been using CeraVe my entire adult life. The face wash came recommended to me by both my mom and my dermatologist (if ever there was a seal of approval, right?). It came as no surprise when I found CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream clinching the top spot in Amazon's night cream category. Of course! What did come as a surprise was the $14 price point. It's enough to make me bust out my happy dance, which is typically designated for food-related joy.

The formula stars hydration powerhouse hyaluronic acid, along with ceramides that restore the skin's moisture barrier and protect against external irritants. As with all CeraVe products, it's dermatologist developed. Skin Renewing Night Cream is designed to work overnight in conjunction with the skin's circadian rhythm. Throughout the night, our skin kicks its repair process into overdrive. This means it's the perfect time to give it a boost with a hardworking, hydrating, skin-barrier strengthening formula. And at $14 a pop, CeraVe Skin Renewing Night Cream might be just the ticket.

The brand recommends applying a few dots of the cream on the face and neck, and gently massing into the skin using an upward motion (always!). Give it a try and let us know your thoughts. Want more CeraVe recommendations? Try their Moisturizing Cream and Hydrating Facial Cleanser. They're two of my favorites.
