OPI

Earlier this week we learned that OPI was bringing back one of its most loved polish collections, and now we’re excited to take a look at one shade in particular that’s bound to be the belle of the ball. OPI’s most searched for color of all time has made its magical return as a member of the OPI Hello Kitty Holiday collection. And it’s so good it will make you weep tears of joy.

In 2016, the first limited-edition Hello Kitty Collection by OPI launched and, along with it, the now cult-favorite polish Let’s Be Friends! Since then, fans have been begging, pleading even, to get OPI to bring back the beloved pale pink polish—while simultaneously pulling for yet another Hello Kitty Collection. OPI is making the Christmas wishes of their fans come true this year. On October 1, OPI will rerelease Let’s Be Friends!, along with 14 other holiday-perfect shades.

If you’re not familiar with Let’s Be Friends!, allow us to make the introduction. Fans of Ballet Slippers, Bubble Bath, and the like will find the winter answer to their polish woes in this opaque light pink that almost takes on a winter-white persona. It’s a bright neutral that won’t clash with the richer colors of the season—or the sequined number you’re considering for Mamaw’s Christmas Eve party (if you dare). Picture it: a glossy manicure, a sparkling flute of champagne in hand, and a perfect perch in front of the tree while Crosby croons in the background.

Let’s Be Friends! is the only rerelease within the collection. It includes 12 new signature shades in a range of pinks, reds, blues, and purples with a bonus of three glitters that are perfect for layering over any of the core colors—if you want a little something extra.
