Ditch the blow dryers, flat irons, and curling wands in the name of letting those strands do their thing. Embracing your natural hair type, whether for the season or for the long haul, can be both liberating and a little daunting. It's unlikely you'll have the perfectly tousled waves your best friend swears to come by honestly, but there are things you can do to give your locks the best chance of flourishing in their new role. One product you should absolutely consider your go-to on this heat-free journey: It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In.

A few years ago I was assigned a story that involved interviewing a bunch of SEC cheerleaders in the quest to find their secrets for keeping their hair on point in rain, humidity, and sometimes triple-digit temps. Turns out, just about every one of them used It's a 10 Miracle Leave-In Product.

I can't quite remember the fate of that story—I'm fairly certain it ended up getting cut as the angle was rather lacking once we figured out the whole story was less about the cheerleaders and more about this one particular product. Unfortunately, that meant I ended up switching gears before getting my hands on a bottle or two. It wasn't until just this week that a sample finally landed on my desk, and subsequently on my bathroom counter later that night. I'm happy to report that it didn't disappoint.

The pump spray is designed for application on wet hair. I used my typical leave-in conditioner first (which I apply in addition to regular in-shower conditioner), then sprayed Miracle Leave-In over my strands. The first thing I noticed was that it made my Wet Brush absolutely glide through my hair. I'm typically prone to tangles and those horrifying teensy knots, even with the usual of my usual leave-in conditioner—thus the double-up.

Brushing the product through was the only styling I managed. Otherwise, I just let it dry and do its thing. I even went to sleep while it was still wet. When I woke up in the morning my hair admittedly looked a little crazy thanks to letting my naturally wavy hair hit the pillow before it was completely dry, but it was incredibly soft. It was as if I rewound the clock on my hair to those years prior to coloring. Baby soft, I tell you.

Frizz was also definitely diminished but, in the name of full disclosure, my silk pillowcase is partly responsible for that. You're going to want to grab this summer hair hero ASAP—and a silk pillowcase while you're at it.
