We'll admit, there's some pretty whacky stuff that comes sashaying down those runways. No matter how outlandish or unbelievable, these looks end up trickling down to the masses—often (thankfully) in indirect ways that barely resemble their first iterations. Even then, when the trends make their way down to the South, Southern women tend to give them a spin all their own. Take a look through some of the biggest trends to come out of summer 2019, plus our favorite products to help you get the look—the Southern way.

Trend: No-Makeup Makeup

Super light foundations, tinted moisturizers, and CC creams are the new long-wear makeup. We're swapping out the heavy hitters for a line of less-is-more coverage. Go ahead, let those freckles peek through.

A Few of Our Favorites:
Dior Backstage Face and Body Foundation, $40; sephora.com
Bobbi Brown Extra SPF 25 Tinted Moisturizing Balm, $58; neimanmarcus.com
It Cosmetics CC+ Cream with SPF 50+, $39; ulta.com

Trend: Bright Eyes

This season's runways saw eyeshadows of yellow, orange, and blue but we think this is one trend worth paring down for everyday wear. Instead of opting for all-over color in a bold hue, make a subtle switch for the season with a colorful eyeliner. Expert tip: Find one that makes your eyes pop.

A Few of Our Favorites:
Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Eye Liner in Midnight (deep blue), $22; sephora.com
Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in (Earth)quake (matte dark brown), $25; sephora.com
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (shimmery metallic deep plum), $27; macys.com

Trend: Bold Lips

Go for a pop of coral, an invigorating red, or even a splash of neon pink. With the season's minimal makeup trend keeping things simple elsewhere, it's time to let your lips do all the talking.

A Few of Our Favorites:
Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip Color in Pink Guava, $37; sephora.com
Lancome L'Absolu Lacquer Longwear Lip Gloss in Brave Lips, $26; ulta.com
Cle de Peau Beaute Radiant Liquid Rouge in 15, $48; neimanmarcus.com

Trend: Polished Hairstyles

Get your hair off your face and into a stylish pony, sleek bun, or pulled-together half-up style. Mama certainly approves of this one. We'll leave the baby bangs and flat strands to the runways (that's not how we do it down here), but polished styles? We'll take ‘em all day every day.

Trend: New Neutral Nails

Have you met the new girls in town? They're just peachy. This season's fresh batch of neutrals skips the beige and taupes and opts for a sunny range of subtle peach paints. From sheer pinks to shades of grapefruit, the broad array allows for a flattering shade for nearly every skin tone.

A Few of Our Favorites:
OPI Crawfishin' For a Compliment, $6; target.com
Essie Gel Couture Spool Me Over 20, $12; ulta.com
NVLA Ms. Huffington Pink, $14; nailvana.la

Trend: Clean Beauty

Mindful beauty is more than meets the eye. Kicking out scary ingredients, minimizing irritants and chemicals, and being straightforward about what's really in the stuff we're putting on our faces, in our hair, and on our bodies is one of the most important beauty trends of the season. If you don't know where to begin, start small by swapping in a clean face wash—which will likely be less expensive than rejiggering the heavy hitters (serum, eye cream, etc.) in your skincare lineup—those can follow suit once you find a few clean beauty brands you love.

Drunk Elephant

Trend: Nostalgic Fragrances

Whether it's an iconic fragrance that reminds you of Grandma, or a particular note that brings you right back to your childhood, a good scent should evoke some kind of emotion. This season, we're letting our perfume transport us—it's the best kind of staycation.

A Few of Our Favorites:
Jo Malone Wild Bluebell Cologne, $136; nordstrom.com
Diptyque Eau De Minthe Eau De Parfum, $175; barneys.com
Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, $80; nordstrom.com
