This time of year, many of us are battling dry cracked lips that are in need of a little extra TLC and could use an easy-to-make lip exfoliator that's so natural you could eat it. Literally.

What you need:

1 tsp freshly squeezed lemon juice

1 1/2 tsp coconut oil, or olive oil

2-3 tsp granulated sugar (brown or white)

Start by mixing the lemon juice and oil together in a small bowl. Gradually add sugar until you've reached a thick paste-like consistency. Once all ingredients are well-blended, slather a pea-sized drop onto lips, and using a damp washcloth scrub gently in a circular motion. Rinse with warm water and apply your favorite lip balm. Repeat as needed. Your lip scrub will last up to one week in the refrigerator.
