Benefit, take a brow.
As fair-haired ladies know, finding a brow gel, pencil, or powder that works for light hair is tricky. And trust us, we’ve had our share of brow blunders (unfortunately backed by photographic evidence) to prove it. Visible pencil lines, jarring color, and plastered-down hair are just a few of the not-so-savory side effects of brow amplifiers gone wrong. That being said, we’re skeptical when it comes to brow products that promise easy application and soft, natural results. We recently put our hesitation aside and gave the new Foolproof Brow Powder from Benefit a test run on our admittedly raised blonde eyebrows.
We opted for the lightest shade, "01-light," that's designed for cool hair shades from platinum to light blonde. Functionality aside, Benefit is queen of packaging and this brow powder is no exception—it's pretty enough to demand a spot on the vanity. We love the petite mirror and compact dimensions for brow-ing on the go, though the applicator size suffers just a smidge. Luckily, the bottom cap is removable and houses a bristled brush that can be snapped on to the end of the applicator, thus extending your hand-space while providing an extra brow-taming tool. We also love that Benefit took the guesswork out of getting natural brows by forming their two powders (key in achieving natural brows) in the shape of an eyebrow. There's no trial-and-error needed to figure out which shade goes where.

The lighter shade, applied to the inner brow, is perfect for blondes and doesn’t skew too dark—which we’ve found to be the case with a few others on the market. The darker powder is both subtle and pigmented enough to provide ideal coverage, without the obvious look that you’ve enhanced your brows. A sweep here, a brush there, and Benefit has taken guesswork out of finding the perfect products for blonde brows. Bravo!
