The Secret To My Best Friend's Ageless Blonde Hair is a Bottle of Shampoo
Janet Graves Ellis and Nellah Bailey McGough 1961
"My first memory of Janet Graves Ellis was captured in this photo. We were 3 years old and in our first dance recital. Janet had a peaches-and-cream complexion, gorgeous long eyelashes, and silky blond hair with bouncy curls, which I envied. Growing up in Mississippi, the two of us could be found browsing clothing racks at Lads & Lasses, sampling perfumes at Moorman's Drug Store, or eating french fries at the City Cafe. Both of our mamas had great style, so we learned from them and even "frosted" our hair together. Today, that box of "frosting" has turned into an expensive color job at the salon! As we age, it's even more important that we feel comfortable in our own skin and take care of ourselves."
