Recipe: The Dogwood

A cocktail that fits into all seasons is pretty rare, but this citrusy sipper manages to have a little something for everyone. It's perfect for sipping out on your porch while watching the flowers bloom in spring, it's a great refreshment to have sitting by your side at the pool during hot summers, it makes a handsome dinner party guests for autumn soirees in the fall, and it's a lighter, perkier cocktail to combat those heavy winter foods. All in all, it's a delightful and flavorful cocktail recipe that'll make guests swoon (and, ask for the recipe). This spirited drink is made with grapefruit juice, vodka, and elderflower liqueur. When you're ready to serve, be sure to garnish each glass with a fresh slice or lemon (or, a lemon twist), and a piece of rosemary. There's not much prep time with these cocktails, either. Combine all of your ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes. Cover with the lid, and shake vigorously until The Dogwood is thoroughly chilled (or, about 30 seconds). Strain into an 8-oz. glass filled with ice cubes. Cheers, y'all!
