Today, November 26th we invite you to show your love and support for local businesses by participating in the #ShopSmall campaign! Slowly but surely, shopping habits are changing and more people are choosing to support local businesses! This is a wonderful way to give a gift with meaning to it this holiday season. I've teamed up with blogger Leigha from The Lilac Press to bring you our favorite #shopsmall gifts -- just in case you need some ideas!
Leigha headed to her one-stop shop, Olive Connection, for all her gifting needs this season. This neighborhood shop, located in the heart of Brookline, MA, is run by a husband, wife and their son. They've lived in Brookline for over 30 years and started this gourmet shop with the desire to meet new people in addition to sharing their love of food. At their storefront, you can sample their array of gourmet olive oils. If you don't live nearby, you can also shop online. Leigha's go to is the Koroneiki Organic Early Harvest Extra Virgin Olive Oil, because of its fragrant aroma and bold, yet classic taste. If you're looking for a host gift or a present for someone who loves to cook, they offer an incredible array of gift baskets -- all of which are available online.

I'll be stopping by Gogo Jewelry on St. Simons Island to shop for my friends + family. Jewelry designer, Janet 'Gogo' Ferguson, draws her inspiration from nature on Cumberland Island in Southern Georgia. Gogo is well known for her gorgeous collections that are all inspired by her love of the coastal life. The beautiful details from the natural forms that are used in her jewelry are completely preserved through a wax casting process. The transformation from the wild to the finished product involves casting it in gold, silver alpaca and tumbaga. This not only preserves the integrity and natural beauty, but also adds another layer of adornment. You can see the intricate details in the cuffs that I'm wearing below. Pictured below from left to right are the Sand Skirt Cuff (available in stores), Boars Tusk Cuff, Eucalyptus Leaves Cuff, Palm Frond Cuff and Spiny Murex Conch Double Cuff.
