If you love cats, you'll want to schedule time on February 2nd at 2:00 p.m. to watch the Hallmark Channel's Kitten Bowl VII.

The much-loved annual extravaganza spotlights 100+ kittens rescued from shelters around America as the adorable furballs—divided into four teams—compete in the Feline Football Championship. The show is hosted by author, TV personality, and animal-rights activist, Beth Stern. Of course, watching the high-energy game is bound to be a good time, but the inspiration behind it is even better: saving animals. This year, the game marks an impressive benchmark: Kitten Bowl is celebrating 40,000 shelter pet adoptions since the show debuted in 2014, thanks to Hallmark's partnership with North Shore Animal League America. Starting with just six shelter partners six years ago, the collaboration now boasts 500 shelter partners all around America. The show is part of Hallmark's overall initiative of Adoption Ever After, which will donate cash grants to the top participating shelters.

On this year's game day, there will also be special appearances from actors Jill Wagner and Brennan Elliott serving as play-by-play commentators, and former NFL running back Rashad Jennings serving as field correspondent. Boomer Esiason, former football star and now-commentator, will return as the Commissioner of the Football Feline League. If you'd like to get to know the kittens, you can read their player profiles here. You can learn more about adopting a pet on North Shore's Animal League's website here.
