Fans of the Night at the Museum movie trilogy will be happy to know that the nighttime museum adventures are soon heading to the stage. In a Q&A with Young Artists of America, Alan Menken, acclaimed composer of stage and screen, shared that he’s currently working on a Night at the Museum musical.

When asked, “What are you working on right now?” Menken responded, “I’m working on a new Broadway show, Night at the Museum, which is almost ready for a reading now.” In the video, Menken also revealed that he’s working on music for a sequel to the film Enchanted alongside Stephen Schwartz, who is working on the lyrics. The team wrote the music for the original 2007 Enchanted film. One of the busiest composers in the business, Menken shares that he’s also working on a Disney+ series, a Hercules stage show, and the live-action Little Mermaid movie. You can see the video below.
