If looking ahead to post-Countdown to Christmas is wrong, we don't want to be right.

Can there really be too much of a good thing? Hallmark has not disappointed this season with its Countdown to Christmas full of old faithfuls and brand spanking new premieres (Dermot, why haven't you been on any train we've ridden before?); and we just don't think we're ready to give up the nights clutching our hot chocolate, waiting to fiend surprise when our romantic interests du jour fall in love and discover the true meaning of Christmas together. It's cruel, really. Drawing us in close, before yanking the rug out from under us as soon as the clock strikes midnight, ringing in the New Year. The wait until Christmas in July commences slowly and unceremoniously—just kidding! Next up, Winterfest 2018.

Hallmark packs January to the brim with heartfelt, romantic movies to help nurse your post-Christmas blues, including four world premieres of original Hallmark movies. You can check out the full schedule here, while getting to know these four upcoming movies a little better below.

Love on the Slopes

A city girl, Alex, is sent to Ridgeline Resort, an extreme sports destination, to write a story for a travel writing competition. Not the most athletic of types, she fails task after task. Clay, an extreme sports enthusiast, finds himself at odds with the New Yorker until she offers to help him with the local arts festival in exchange for acting as an extreme sports guide. An unlikely team is formed, and love just may be found on the slopes. Wink, wink.

Frozen in Love

Two opposites—a struggling bookstore owner, Mary, and professional hockey player bad boy, Adam—are told to makeover each other's image. They soon find that opposites attract and become quite frozen in love.

One Winter Weekend

A young magazine writer, Cara, swears off dating after being burned by her boyfriend on New Year's Eve. She heads on a ski trip with her best friend, only to have their chalet double-booked with two eligible men. One of them, Ben, is a charming entrepreneur, and Cara finds herself snowed in with him for the weekend.

Heart of the Mountain

A former ski star gets back on the slopes when an earnest 16-year-old asks for her help. She finds her love for the sport again and discovers a newfound love along the way.

While not exactly the twinkling lights-laden, garland-draped movies of December, we appreciate the festive winter touch and promise of sweet romance that this Hallmark Winterfest offers as a slight condolence for the ending of our beloved annual Countdown to Christmas. Tune in every Saturday night in January for a world premiere original Hallmark movie!
