Legendary country star Dolly Parton gave fans a blast from the past when she posted this photo of her and her two iconic friends, Rod Stewart and Cher, on Instagram on Thursday, July 27, along with the caption, "She had both of us on her television special, ‘Cher...Special,' in 1978! #tbt"

The photo captures a rare moment of the renowned trio, taken from Cher's one-off television special that aired on ABC on April 3, 1978. Parton, fresh off the heels of the successful album, Here You Come Again, was all smiles here with her signature (and big!) platinum blonde hair, but there were even more laughs to be had on the show, where Parton performed one of her most popular songs and participated in comedic sketches. Her guest appearance on the network showcase was such a big hit that it even earned Parton an Emmy nomination.

Remember Parton's performance of "Two Doors Down" or the chat she and Cher had on stage—you know when the two engaged in hilarious "girl talk" at work, except the conversation consisted of nothing but song titles and lyrics? If not, surely this photo Parton posted will bring back memories of the acclaimed medley the duo performed together titled "A Musical Battle to Save Cher's Soul." No? Well, we've included the nine-minute clip below to jog your memory. You can thank us later!

In typical Dolly fashion, the East Tennessee native attempts to lull Cher to the good side and show her the way, singing the R&B classic "People Get Ready" by Curtis Mayfield in that sweet, angelic voice we've all come to know and love.
