The Gilmore Girls-sized hole in our TV-watching schedules is about to be filled, because Amazon's brand-new series The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel has an official premiere date. (Cue cheers.)

Remember when we told you about this fantastic new show brought to life by Gilmore Girls creator Amy Sherman-Palladino? If not, we'll remind you: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is poised to be the most compelling (and fastest-talking) must-see show of the season. It's set in 1950s New York and follows the adventures of the titular Mrs. Maisel, a housewife-turned-stand up comedian whose life is spun upside down when she has a fight, discovers a hidden talent, and embarks on an unexpected journey through the world of stand-up comedy.

Amy Sherman-Palladino created the show, and she has also written and directed the first season, which Dhana Gilbert and Daniel Palladino executive produce. The series stars Rachel Brosnahan, who has appeared on House of Cards, Patriots Day, and Olive Kitteridge, as well as Tony Shalhoub, Alex Borstein, Marin Hinkle, Wallace Shawn, and Michael Zegen—a starry cast with true comedic chops.

While The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is quite different from the Stars Hollow-set series—a Gilmore Girls sequel, it is not—this new show has a fantastic cast of fascinating characters, an exciting world to get blissfully lost in, and plenty of memorable jokes to enjoy.

The pilot has been available on Amazon since March, and now the wait is over for the rest of the series, because the show officially premieres on Amazon Prime Video on November 29, 2017. (Who else is counting the days?) Amazon has ordered two seasons of the show so far, and we're planning to tune in for the duration.

Check out the trailer and watch—or re-watch—the pilot episode to get ready for the premiere on November 29th.

Will you tune in to the premiere of this new show? We're eagerly anticipating Amy Sherman-Palladino's return to the world of the scripted series.
