To Evan Farmer, there is no such thing as a "Bucket List"...only things that he's either done, doing, or going to do. That's the mantra that has guided Evan in his extremely diverse, accomplished, and eclectic path; whether it's building an airplane in 11 days and then flying it solo across the country, volunteering his time in support of several charities, starting businesses, writing a book, traveling the world, or interviewing country music's hottest stars for CMT's Top 20 Countdown.

In fact, Evan attributes his career in Entertainment, one that has spanned nearly two decades in: Music, Major Concert Venues, Theatre, Television, Film, Print, and Radio, to growing up barefooted and simple, with most summers spent like Huck Finn on the bank of the York River in Gloucester County Virginia, where he, his sisters, and their friends entertained themselves with little more than imagination and wide open space.

A father now himself, Evan finds it not-so-surprising that he's settled down in Nashville where he tapes the weekly Top 20 Countdown, and records his weekly syndicated radio show: CMT Radio Insider; both jobs he landed after lobbying heavily for them after, former host, Lance Smith announced his intentions to leave the job he held for 8 years in January 2010.

"I had actually said more than once while watching Top 20 countdown, long before Lance ever indicated any intention of leaving, that he had my absolute dream job. Hosting Top 20 Countdown combines my love affair with music with my passion for hosting and interviewing inspirational artists and public figures, all the while keeping me based in Nashville surrounded by family. I struck gold!" ~Evan Farmer

And without a doubt, the biggest time of the year for CMT and Evan is just around the corner with the June 8th ~10th Annual~ CMT Music Awards; the first ever all-fan-voted awards show dedicated entirely to country music. From now until the big day, Evan will contribute a weekly article discussing everything from the nominees to his favorite recipes.
