Pioneer Woman Reminds Us Southern Skies Are the Most Magical
Ree Drummond shares a photo of the majestic Oklahoma skies from her own backyard.
As Southerners, we often quip that sunset or sunrise is our favorite color. And luckily, our region is the backdrop for spectacular daily displays as the sun dips below or rises above the horizon.

This past Friday, October 20th, The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond took to Instagram to show her love for the Southern sky in one of the most beautiful snapshots we've seen. Simply captioned, "I love home," Drummond captured a striking scene overlooking her property in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. Endless acres and two trees with a hammock stand before the cotton-candy sky, with clouds reflecting a gray-blue tint in the water below.
Fans were clearly moved by Drummond's post, with comments ranging from "I miss the OK skies" to "Is a high-res available for download?" It may be Monday morning, but we'd sure love to slip into that hammock for some Pawhuska sky gazing—and channeling Drummond's Southern state of mind—as we take on the week ahead.
