You may know recognize Noah Galloway from Dancing With The Stars, but this Birmingham boy has a story that runs just as deep as his Alabama roots. Having served in the military following the 9/11 attacks, Noah lost his arm and leg to a roadside bomb. Following months of recovery from his many injuries, he began getting back into shape – running marathons, doing obstacle courses, and, of course, showing the Northerners how a Southern boy takes the dance floor. Despite all of these accomplishments, however, Noah has no interest in leaving his home state of Alabama. "Nobody ever wakes up and says, 'Hey, let's go to Alabama!' But when they come here, they end up being really impressed and staying here." A father of 3, Noah knows the value of Southern manners and charm, and it's a value he hopes to pass on to his kids. We chatted with this Southern gentleman about his family, the best advice his parents ever gave him, his all-time favorite Southern foods, and why 'the politeness' of Southern culture will keep his feet planted firmly in the Alabama dirt.
