Step aside, Keith Urban—there's a new ‘American Idol' judge in town. Country singer Luke Bryan is expected to grab a judges' seat for the ABC revival of the hit singing competition.
The show aired its 15th and would-be last season on Fox in 2016, before ABC announced it would be taking over the show. Joining the reboot for its 16th season will be original host Ryan Seacrest.

Though Seacrest will return to the stage, judges Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban, and Harry Connick Jr. will be replaced by a new panel of talent. The Luke Bryan reveal, shared today on Good Morning America, comes on the heels of the news that Katy Perry will also be judging. A third judge is expected to be announced shortly. ‘American Idol' is set to premiere in March 2018.
Currently, Luke Bryan is gearing up to hit the road on Thursday, September 28th, for his annual "Farm Tour," which will weave its way through family farms in the Midwest and the South.
