WATCH: This Country Music Power Couple Had Their First Date at Cracker Barrel
Nashville has no shortage of romantic strolls, nooks, and bar stools. The Oak Bar at the Hermitage Hotel. Belle Meade plantation. The Bluebird Cafe.
Safe to say, most Nashville "Best Of" lists probably leave Cracker Barrel out of the running as a "most romantic" locale. Not so for country music singer Kellie Pickler. The star of CMT's "I Love Kellie Pickler" recently gave fans all the swoonworthy details of her first date with songwriting husband, Kyle Jacobs.
In a clip from the show, Jacobs and Pickler laze happily in rocking chairs outside a Nashville Cracker Barrel, the scene of the crime for the country duo. "Remember the first time we came to Cracker Barrel?" Pickler inquires. "I'll never forget it," quips Jacobs.
"And we sat out in the rockin' chairs the whole time. We didn't even hear our name get called," Pickler admits, with a nostalgic glimmer in her eyes. As if their courtship could get any cuter, we later learn that Jacobs bought those very rockers to gift to Pickler on her birthday. And he carved their names in them along with the date of their first rendezvous. Yeah, all other husbands can pretty much give up now.
