Last night, fans of the The Voice were treated to an extra special performance: Miley Cyrus and Pentatonix joined the one and only Dolly Parton on stage for an epic rendition of her 1973 hit song “Jolene.” Trust us, you’ll definitely want to watch this more than once.

Not only was Parton on hand to promote her new made-for-TV movie special, Christmas of Many Colors: Circle of Love (airing tonight, November 30, at 9 p.m. ET on NBC), but she was also there to spend some quality time with her famous goddaughter.

This isn’t the first time Cyrus has paid tribute to her “fairy godmother” through song. The two first teamed up on “Jolene” back in 2010 for the 25 Years Of Dollywood that aired on the Hallmark Channel, and then Cyrus tackled the song solo in 2012 for her “Backyard Sessions” on YouTube. It’s been one of her staples ever since.

And it’s safe to say those feelings of adoration are mutual. Parton has defended her goddaughter’s career throughout the years, reminding fans that she, too, got plenty of criticism for pushing the envelope. But ultimately, she believes that Cyrus has a good head on her shoulders thanks to her solid upbringing.

“I’ve known her daddy [Billy Ray Cyrus] the many years he’s been in the business. I’ve watched her grow up,” Parton said a few months back. “She’s a smart girl. She had to go to extremes to get her point across. I think she got the point across.”

We couldn’t agree more! After that performance, we are definitely #TeamMiley.
