The most wonderful time of the year at the most magical place on Earth.
It’s not even Halloween, and yet Walt Disney World is already planning for Christmas. As soon as the costumes are put away from Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween celebration, Disney will be upending Orlando’s popular tourist resort, turning its ghosts into nutcrackers and chocolate candy into Christmas cookies. Each year, thousands flock to the South’s version of a winter wonderland to take in everything from bright lights and rare character appearances to festive shows and, yes, even real snow.
Although the yuletide magic is nearly three months away, details recently released by Disney have us getting into the holiday spirit a little early. We're excited to reveal that the main attraction, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, will be back and bigger than ever—just in time for you to start planning your Christmas vacation. The festivities will kick off on November 9, and fortunately for Disney-goers, you’ll have several opportunities throughout the months of November and December to purchase tickets and attend.
You can expect the Cinderella Castle to be lit in more than 200,000 shimmering lights. In addition, Elsa and her Frozen pals will make a grand appearance, lighting up the icy palace for “A Frozen Holiday Wish.” Of course, the Very Merry event will feature its annual parade, fireworks celebration, and select stations filled with yummy holiday treats. But for those Southerners who aren’t used to seeing white flurries during winter, prepare to be amazed by the snowfall on Main Street. Lastly, returning for the second time, is Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, which in 2016, included Disney’s most recognizable stars singing and dancing to Christmas songs in front of Cinderella Castle.
On the party’s official page, there’s a brief overview of all the ways in which you and your family can delight in the holiday hustle and bustle:

The event runs from 7:00 p.m. to midnight on select nights through December 22, with ticket prices starting at $89.00.
