Any good Southern guest knows better than to show up to a gathering empty-handed. But, any great guest knows that edible gifts (quite literally) take the cake every time. Giving Christmas treats for gifts is always a good idea—especially since the way to any Southerner’s heart is through their stomach. Seasoned party-goers know that batch-made homemade goods can often save the day when cocktail parties seem to appear out of thin air. Before opting to gift yet another last-minute bottle of wine, we have a couple of more festive gift ideas that will guarantee another invitation next year. (Warning: You might want to make enough of these to keep some for yourself!) This holiday season, keep these edible Christmas gifts in mind to give a proper “thank-you” to your gracious hostess.
