Your favorite Christmastime novel gets the TV-movie treatment this season.

We know you’re already planning your Hallmark movie-watching schedule for the Christmas season…because so are we. In the weeks leading up to Christmas, there is a constant stream of holiday movies on TV, and we can’t get enough. That’s why we want to make sure this highly anticipated new movie is on your radar. It’s primed to be the biggest, most exciting Hallmark premiere of the year—but what is it?

We’ll tell you. David Baldacci’s beloved, bestselling holiday novel The Christmas Train is making its way to the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel in November. Hallmark enthusiasts have been waiting with bated breath since production on the film began in the spring, and now it’s finally time set your DVRs and mark your calendars.

Starring Dermot Mulroney (My Best Friend’s Wedding), Kimberly Williams-Paisley (Father of the Bride), Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon), and Joan Cusack (Runaway Bride), The Christmas Train follows journalist Tom Langdon (Mulroney) as he boards a cross-country train leaving from D.C. and bound for Los Angeles. Along the way, he encounters an interesting cast of characters and finds himself on an unexpected journey toward love.

The Christmas Train will premiere on the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries channel on Saturday, November 25, 2017, at 8 p.m. Eastern/Pacific and 7 p.m. Central. It’s perfectly timed, because after we wrap up this year’s Thanksgiving festivities, put away the leftovers, and take a few naps, it will be time to turn on the holiday music and tune into Hallmark’s newest Christmas movie.

Put The Christmas Train on your calendar, and, in the meantime, watch the movie’s Hallmark Movies & Mysteries video preview. If you’re so excited that you can’t wait until November 25th, you can read (or re-read) David Baldacci’s novel The Christmas Train for a heartwarming holiday story that is sure to launch you into the Christmas spirit—and prepare you for the TV-movie adaptation to come.
