The Atlanta-based fast-food restaurant revealed to Southern Living exclusively that they're launching their bottled salad dressings nationwide after a successful pilot program last fall. In October, the company rolled out a small release of four different salad dressings to stores in Ohio and Tennessee. Seeing how successful that launch was—and how much demand consumers had for wider availability—they're now launching all four dressings nationwide in participating grocery and Walmart stores. Courtesy of Chick-fil-A "Customers loved the ability to enjoy their favorite Chick-fil-A salad dressings at home and the test in Nashville and Cincinnati performed really well," says Michael Garrison, senior director of innovation and new ventures at Chick-fil-A. "The test phase is one indicator of how the national launch will go, but we have high hopes that customers will add our bottled dressings onto their grocery list!" The four salad dressings available will be: Avocado Lime Ranch DressingGarden Herb Ranch DressingCreamy Salsa DressingZesty Apple Cider Vinaigrette Dressing The customer favorite (and the most popular around the Southern Living offices) is the Avocado Lime Ranch Dressing, which combines the classic Garden Herb Ranch with creamy avocado, spices and lime, Don't discount these dressings as only for leafy salads, however. We think they'll be great as a dressing for fried potatoes, a dipping sauce for roasted vegetables, or a spread on wraps and sliders. We also would drizzle these over our tacos, skewers, or grain bowls. And of course, any form of salad—tomato salad to potato salad—is the perfect option for bright, fresh dressings. "Our culinary team recently created several recipes using our salad dressings ranging from breakfast to side dishes, including Avocado Lime Ranch Scrambled Eggs, Southwest Creamy Salsa Corn Salad, Cheddar Ranch Biscuits with Ham, and Zesty Bacon Potato Salad," Garrison says. "We have also seen the dressings used as marinades for meat and fish and condiments for sandwiches—their flavor profiles are very versatile, so we can’t wait to hear how our customers use them at home." Look for the bottles, which are 12 fluid ounces, in stores this summer. They'll be in the refrigerated section, Garrison says. "Due to the quality of the ingredients in our salad dressings, they must be refrigerated," he adds. They'll be joining four bottled dipping sauces already in the stores: Barbeque, Polynesian, Sweet & Spicy Sriracha, and Chick-fil-A Sauce.
