It sets up quickly in the refrigerator, so you don’t have to wait long to munch on this treat like a bunny munches carrots. Plus, the kids will love helping by adding the candies and sprinkles on top (and sneaking a few pieces as they do). The finished product is so cute you won’t be able to keep little hands—or adults’—off this yummy, melt-in-your-mouth Easter goody. Hippity-hop to it! This bark can be made using candy melts exclusively, however, choosing a higher quality white chocolate will create a more balanced and flavorful dessert. Chocolates range in variety and price greatly, but I find the fancier grocery store bars, like Lindt, work really well for this recipe. Avoid Baker’s chocolate as it’s made specifically for things that bake in the oven and doesn’t work as well for candy. Ingredients 1/2 cup pink candy melts 2 (4.4 oz.) bars white chocolate, roughly chopped (such as Lindt) Festive Easter candies and sprinkles of your choosing Directions Prep: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Melt chocolate: Melt the white chocolate in the microwave on HIGH in 10 second intervals, stopping to stir every 10 seconds, until it is smooth. Set aside. Melting Chocolate When melting chocolate or candy melts, it's important to keep the candy from overheating in the microwave. If melting at full power, keep your intervals short (no more than 10 seconds). If melting at half power, keep your intervals around 30 seconds. Melt candy melts: Melt the pink candy melts in the microwave on HIGH in 10 second intervals, stopping to stir every 10 seconds, until smooth. Be careful not to overheat the candy melts, or they will become too hard to work with. Spread white chocolate: Pour the white chocolate onto the parchment-lined baking sheet, and use a spatula to shape it roughly into a rectangle. Jessica Furniss Drizzle pink melts on white chocolate: Spoon melted candy melts in large dollops on top of the white chocolate and use a knife or spatula to spread the pink around and create a marbled design. You can add all sorts of Easter candies like Robin Eggs, Cadbury minis, larger Cadbury eggs split in half, Easter M&Ms, festive sprinkles, and even Peeps!
