Domino's is determined to help pizza-loving couples live happily ever after. The brilliant minds behind the popular pizza chain just unveiled their latest endeavor that’s sure to have engaged couples drooling. Though it’s delicious and cheesy in all the right ways, what they’ve been cooking up isn't a pizza…it’s a wedding registry!
“Our registry aims to bring couples together over their shared love of pizza," Domino's spokeswoman Jenny Fouracre said in a statement. “We hear often from customers that Domino’s was a part of their big day, from proposals to after-hours meals at their wedding. We wanted to make it easier for people to ask for and receive something that they’ll really use.”
According to the registry website, Domino's describes the groundbreaking idea as “the first registry for couples who prefer delicious melty cheese to crystal gravy boats.” From pizzas for the bachelorette party to a “Thank You Card-a-thon” package that promises to help couples survive late nights writing thank you cards, wedding guests can now give hungry couples exactly what their hearts (and stomachs) desire.
"I just thought it was really fun. We order pizza all the time and we make pizza at home,” Laura Krahel, who created a Domino's registry with her fiance Curtis, told USA Today. “We have a regular registry and I know a lot of groomsmen who’d want to give Curtis this gift instead of maybe buying something for the kitchen.”
Each gift comes in the form of an eGift Card to spend on anything at Domino's. To find out more, or make your own pizza registry, head to DominosWeddingRegistry.com.
We think this is a perfectly cheesy way to celebrate a wedding (and, we're jealous that they didn't come out with this sooner!). Here's to saying 'I Do' with a slice of pepperoni pizza by your side.
