A Few Tips:

Incorporate Your Color Scheme—Could the bakery frost the doughnuts with your wedding theme colors or ice your initials on each doughnut top? Personalize It—Is there something unique about your wedding that could be incorporated into your favors? For instance, a light purple color scheme may lead to a lavender sprig topping each doughnut. Consider the Weather—Make sure your dough is safe! If you are having an outdoor reception where heat is a factor, you may not want to choose an iced doughnut that could melt into a sticky frosting puddle. Get the Whole Package—Save some time with pre-made bags! Check out these sugary sweet packaging options from Mavora on Etsy. Make It Special—Do you and your significant other share a favorite doughnut? Is there a family recipe that your grandmother has been cooking up for years? Share these special moments by choosing a doughnut that means something to you. Add Local Flair—Throw in some homegrown panache to your favors by choosing an artisanal bakery over a chain. Make Them Do Double Duty— If you’d like to trim a little more from your wedding budget, try labeling the doughnut packaging with guest names and placing them around the reception tables as an easy replacement for name cards.
