Get your creative juices flowing at the Franklin G. Burroughs-Simeon B. Chapin Art Museum (it’s free to view the permanent collection, including paintings by local artists). For the kids, head to the Children’s Museum of South Carolina, where interactive exhibits make learning fun. Slated to open this spring is Wonder Works at Broadway at the Beach, where visitors will see “wonderous” sights such as an upside-down building, a volcano and an Egyptian pyramid. And when the sun goes down, theaters and nightclubs provide a wide range of live entertainment and dancing.
