What it Entails: The John C. Campbell Folk School annually enlists hundreds of artists and craftspeople to tutor guests of its 300-acre campus. Its course book is an homage to the handmade: Classes are offered in two-, five-, or six-day stints and range from basketry to book restoration, metalwork to mixed media art.
