Request a late checkout; then sleep in and linger by the pool for a few more hours. When you get hungry, head to Seacrets at 49th Street. This re-created Jamaican village sits on the bay with palm trees, sandy beaches, and great live entertainment. House specialties include jerk chicken ($7.75) and crab toast ($11.25), a pizza topped with crab, cheese, and imperial sauce.
On the way out of town, detour past Assateague Island, located across the inlet, just 8 miles from downtown. Most of this undeveloped island has been designated a national seashore. Spend the rest of your day exploring the miles of unspoiled, windswept beaches. Even if you don't see the famous wild ponies that roam the island, you'll end your weekend with your toes in the sand.
