Outdoor activities abound. You'll find everything from golfing to parasailing in this coastal resort. The fertile waters here also offer some of the best fishing on the East Coast. Ocean City Fishing Center off U.S. 50 in West Ocean City claims the largest charter fleet.
If you'd rather relax, make an appointment at A Perfect Face Day Spa in West Ocean City. Services range from Chocolate Cake body scrubs ($100) to hot stone massages ($125). While you're in West Ocean City, stop by Avalon Market. In addition to wine and gourmet food products, you'll find Vietri pottery and Vera Wang silverware.
For a late lunch, head back over to Liquid Assets at 94th and Coastal Highway. This unique package store also boasts a wonderful neighborhood bar and tasty wine country cuisine. Order a selection of cheeses (three for $6) and a glass of wine, or opt for heartier fare. We love the organic Niman Ranch burger with hand-cut fries ($10) and pan-seared sea scallops with wild mushroom risotto ($14).
Take this opportunity to relax before dinner at Jules, a sophisticated yet casual restaurant located at 120th Street. Entrées include Chilean sea bass, jumbo lump crab cakes, and rack of lamb, but be sure to save room for dessert. Chef Julius Adam Sanders serves a flight of Grand Marnier paired with small sample of triple cream cow's milk cheese, berry shortcake, and chocolate crème brûlée ($35). It's to die for!
