We arrived on Thursday and stayed through the weekend. Because it was May, the air was warm but not yet unbearable. Also, there were no crowds, so it was easy for us to arrange group accommodations.
Keep in mind, however, that most occasions such as this are dutch treat. The host, or "weekend planner," may make all the arrangements, but typically each participant is responsible for her own travel, accommodations, food, and anything else she may need during her stay. It's also not unusual for bridesmaids to arrange the trip and treat the bride, just as if it were a bachelor party. But this time, the bride helped coordinate the event as a way to spend time with friends before the wedding.
