When the sun rises over the Buckhead neighborhood, the power
breakfasts get serious at OK Café. Hearty morning meals include omelets,
cereals, and French toast. Later in the day, the more casual customers
come for the blue plate specials. Crab and crawfish cakes, meatloaf with
Creole sauce, and pot roast cozy up to sides of collards, fresh corn,
and cucumber salad. 1284 West Paces Ferry Road; www.okcafe.

cornbread or yeast rolls. Our suggestion? Ask for both. Then plunge into
the rest of the menu at this 62-year-old eatery. It boasts 27 entrées
and 32 sides—the meat 'n' two (order three if you wish) runs about $9.
The peach cobbler ($2.95) makes this a sweet, sweet meal. 224 Ponce De
Leon Avenue; www.marymacs.com or [404] 876-1800.
